Ps 117 is a multinational multimedia movement created to encourage every people to praise the LORD in their own language, using native instruments and dances and unique body expressions. This project aims to connect all nations, as a number “which no man can number”, who will pour their heart out unto the Lord in their own tongue.
Inspired by Psalm 117 we share the common belief that there is one God, Yahweh – the Creator of heaven and earth, and people are meant to “worship Him in Truth and in Spirit”, regardless of nationality, language, color of skin and living standard.
THE HISTORY
In 2008 Emil Kindlein – Romanian musician and songwriter – urged by the idea of singing “ a new song unto the LORD” and convinced of the importance of singing Bible scriptures in our mother language put Psalm 117 unto music.
Many fellow believers from all around the world recognized the power of Psalm’s 117 message and the universality of the new song’s sound. (Global Round Table @ Cornerstone Festival 2011; Balcan Connect Macedonia 2011; Drumfest Romania 2009, 2008; Holy Trinity Church Romania)
Here is an early video of Psalm 117 (video recording, Timisoara-Romania, 2008).
